Vera's Circus Sideshow is a throwback
to the circus sideshows of yesteryear. As soon as the public sees the colorful banner line, they know that they are about
to see a show like no other they have ever seen before.
The show features over forty attractions inside
of the tent ranging from museum pieces such as bigfoot relics, shrunken heads, and a two headed/three legged chicken to live
acts such as the headless women, fire eaters, and girls who balance on machetes. The show has something for everybody.
Vera's Circus Sideshow is not only entertaining;
it is also educational. With fun, intriguing displays about the history and lore of the circus sideshow, as well as the colorful
people that have made it what it is today.
The ultimate mission of the show is to celebrate
genetic diversity. The show's creators hope that the audience realizes that it is okay to be different. "We want people to
walk away loving themselves even if they don't fit the social and physical norms. I don't believe this misconception that
we need to 'fix' people who are born six fingers or dogs born with five legs," says founder Logan Jacot. "We should celebrate
our differences and understand that we are beautiful the way nature made us."
