Circus Vera FAQ

When was Circus Vera founded?
Circus Vera's founder, Logan Jacot, started laying the groundwork for Circus Vera in the latter half of 2008. Our first show took place on April 26, 2009 in Bowling Green, Ohio.

How many performers are in Circus Vera?
Circus Vera's core group of performers consists of seven talented students. For larger shows and special events, we do add additional circus and sideshow artists from around the world.

What does it take to become a part of Circus Vera?
You must have sawdust in your veins. If you don't know what that means, you probably aren't cut out for life on the road.

Does Circus Vera have animals?
Circus Vera doesn't currently have any animals on tour with it. By request we can bring some four legged friends to your town.

How many shows does Circus Vera perform each day?
If we are performing our full building show, we present two shows a day. If we are are performing a free act show at a festival or fair, we perform three to five shows a day.

What does it take to bring Circus Vera to my town?
For our building show, we simply need a local sponsor. Possible sponsors include Lions Clubs, Rotary Clubs, VFWs, agricultural groups, city councils, school boards, or any other non profit organization. A group with four members can successfully host Circus Vera. We provide everything that is needed for the circus performance. We do ask the sponsor to provide a building and help secure all the local permits that are needed to perform in your town. All of these can be done in a day or two. If your organization has any questions, the staff of Vera is more then willing to offer their expertise.

If you are interested in bringing our fair and festival unit to your town, all you need to do is contact your local fair or festival and ask them to host our show. We offer a free show to their patrons to help enhance their time at the fair.

How long is Circus Vera's show?
Our building show is ninety minutes. Our fair and festival show is thirty minutes.

What kind of acts does Circus Vera have?
Since we work with each sponsor on bringing a show that fits their needs, our acts change frequently. You can expect to see everything from fire eaters, to jugglers, to acrobats, to contortionists.

Vera's Circus Sideshow (VCS) FAQ

When was VCS founded?
Vera's Circus Sideshow started preview performances in 2009. The show won't officially open until January of 2010.

How many performers are in VCS?
The sideshow carries seven of the most bizarre and strange performers on the planet.

What does it take to become a part of VCS?
We are always looking for the next odd talent or human oddity. If you think you have what it takes send our director, Logan Jacot, and e-mail at ljacot@circusvera.com

Does VCS have animals?
Our show carries several preserved freak animals with it. Even though these animals are no
longer with us, they can still teach us that it is ok to be different. We also have several very special animals that are alive that travel with us to most of our shows.

How many shows are performed each day?
VCS is a grind show, which means as soon as one show ends another one begins. So the amount of shows we do each day depends on how many hours the event we are performing at it is open.

What does it take to bring CVCS to my town?

All you need to do is contact your local fair or festival and ask them to host our show. We offer a free show to their patrons to help enhance their time at the fair.

How long is the show?
Our show is thirty minutes long but it will take you at least another thirty minutes to see all of our attractions.

What kind of acts does VCS have?
Fire eaters, escape artists, magicians, sword swallowers, and much more!
